Trent View College is proud to open on 11th September 2023 as part of a family of 31 academies within Wellspring Multi Academy Trust. The Trust Board has delegated extensive powers and responsibilities to our Local Governing Body (LGB) at Trent view College under its Scheme of Delegation.
Our governing body has three key roles:
- in consultation with the Trust, we decide the vision, ethos and strategic direction of the College
- we hold the Principal and her senior staff to account for the educational performance of the College and its young people, helping to ensure that all are given the opportunity to thrive, and
- we oversee the financial performance of the College to ensure that money is well spent.
Our Governing Body has 12 members comprising of 6 governors appointed by the Trust, 2 ex officio members including the Principal, 2 staff members and 2 parent governors.
Our governors hold 5 formal meetings each year and visit the College regularly in between. This year’s governing body meetings will be held on the following dates at 10am:
- 9th October 2026
- 27th November 2026
- 5th February 2027
- 30th April 2027
- 25th June 2027
